Botanical name: Vriesea spp. Common name: Bromeliad Vriesea Description: Bromeliad Vriesea is a diverse group of tropical plants that come in a range of sizes, shapes, and colours. They typically feature a rosette of leaves with a central cup that collects water, which provides a habitat for insects and other small creatures. The flowers of Vriesea are showy and come in a variety of colours, from red and yellow to pink and purple. Care Instructions: Light: Bromeliad Vriesea prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun can burn the leaves, while too little light can reduce flowering. Water: Bromeliad Vriesea requires moderate watering. Fill the central cup with water and keep it filled. Change the water weekly to prevent bacteria from forming. Fertilising: Bromeliad Vriesea requires regular fertilising during the growing season (spring to autumn). Use a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every two to three weeks.
