Pantone has announced their colour of the year and it’s classic blue, which they say brings a sense of peace and tranquillity to the human spirit
It is a reflective blue and fosters resilience. Find a space for contemplation, add a candle and turn your back on the world while you enjoy your own special oasis.
Pantone’s classic blue is a definitive color of Australian style. In our natural landscape the blue sky and sea are vast and present. In outdoor spaces try a classic blue door or gate against timbers, stone, natural or white fnishes. Team with resilient succulent ‘Blue Pacifc’, Agapanthus, Buddleia, Salvia and Sea Holly, or borage- Bee Flower, Cornflower and Viola. Group with green, grey foliages or grasses. Riviera brights are trending right now, but there are other ways to
imagine yourself seaside. Think ocean colours like classic blue, turquoise and aquamarine in natural linens, velvet and textured wools, ropes and cottons. Natural coloured and white textured pots are also on trend, teamed with wood, cane, nut, leather and neutral colors. You can see these on trend tones reflected in the range in our stores this season. Indoor water gardens carry the water theme through and make a great summer display on a table. Hanging plants dripping down walls cascading over shelving and balconies mimic the flow and feel of water to add coolness and comfort
