Japanese Sago Palm (Cycas revoluta) 300mm
Botanical name: Cycas revoluta
Common name: Sago Palm or King Sago Palm
Description: Cycas Revoluta is a slow-growing, ornamental evergreen plant that belongs to the cycad family. It has a rough, woody trunk that is topped with a crown of long, feathery leaves. The plant is dioecious, which means that it has male and female reproductive structures on separate plants. The female plants produce cones that contain large seeds that are poisonous if ingested.
Care instructions:
Light: Sago palms prefer bright, indirect light. They can also tolerate some direct sunlight, but too much can burn the leaves.
Water: Cycas revoluta likes to be kept moderately moist, but not wet. Allow the top 2-3 inches of soil to dry out before watering. Overwatering can cause root rot.
Fertilising: Fertilise the plant with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in the spring and summer.
