Botanical name: Peperomia Polybotrya
Common name: Coin Leaf Peperomia
Description: Coin Leaf Peperomia is an attractive and easy-to-care-for houseplant with thick, round leaves that resemble coins. It is native to South America and can reach up to 30cm in height when fully grown. It produces spikes of small, insignificant flowers in the summer.
Care Instructions:
Light: Coin Leaf Peperomia prefers bright, indirect light, but can tolerate some shade in hotter climates. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and affect growth.
Water: This plant requires moderate watering, allowing the soil to dry out partially between waterings. Coin Leaf Peperomia can be sensitive to over-watering, which can cause root rot and other problems. It prefers well-draining soil and can benefit from occasional applications of fertiliser specifically formulated for houseplants.
Fertilising: Fertilise Coin Leaf Peperomia in the spring and summer with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every 2-3 weeks.
